SUMMARY Manage the new product introduction of precision molding or stamping dies that are manufactured in Asia for Autosplice globally, including design oversight, vendor management, and tooling debug, runoff and qualification in Asia. Provide technical input and strategic direction for stamping dies in Asia.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES? Proactively project-manage molding or stamping die procurement process, in accordance with Autosplice New Product Introduction (NPI) process, by acting as chief liaison between tooling vendors and Autosplice Global Engineering Management in USA;? Actively manage die qualification process, including data analysis and disposition, in accordance with Autosplice die acceptance procedures;? Support APQP process in accordance with TS16949 and Company Quality procedures, and take responsibility for tooling elements in the procedures;? Lead or participate in global molding or stamping tooling initiatives, and assist all Autosplice regions with regard to stamping tools, as required;? Work closely with Program Management and support program team meetings, to ensure on-time delivery of tooling;? Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or other Autosplice departments;QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:? Minimum 5 years’ experience in high-speed, progressive dies, and precision metal stamping environment;? Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, solid models, and engineering specifications;? Good knowledge of various metals and alloys related to progressive stamping technology;? Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;? Excellent English and Mandarin reading, writing and speaking skills;? Travel to vendor and customer sites in Asia, and Autosplice locations globally.
